Great Free & Almost Free Summer Activities for Vancouver/Portland Area

Our June Relief Society Activity was filled with many ideas for a fun filled summer for adults and kids alike.  My family took one of the suggested hikes on Saturday and we will be talking about it for years to come. It was Fantastic!  Thanks Bev George for the suggestion. The links below are all the info we passed out that night and the following Sunday.  I had limited copies so I know all the sisters did not get them.  There are lots of activities for children and adults.  So please look through even if you do not have children! Have a great summer.  Charity Ashworth

Sisters
We are cancelling Super Saturday and the luncheon that was to be this Saturday November 21.  We just didn't get enough interest this year, and that is totally fine.  We are going to take the advice given at General Conference to simplify.  We are going to put our efforts into the Relief Society Christmas Social instead.

Next activity will be:

Relief Society Christmas Social
December 10, 2015
7-8:30p
At Sister Clements home
(parking only allowed on one side of the street, the side the Clements house is on)
More info to come next Sunday

September 13th RS Lesson

ETB #17 - Keeping the Law of Chastity

Our Heavenly Father desires nothing for us but to be happy. He tells us only those things that will bring us joy. And one of the surest principles given by God to help us find that joy is the law of chastity. I pray with all my heart that you will consider most solemnly the joyful consequences of keeping this law, and the tragic consequences of violating it.  Ezra Taft Benson

Nov/Dec Goal: JESUS CHRIST

Nov & Dec Goal:

Share/Invite/Give - "Jesus Christ"

Jesus Christ gives us hope, peace, joy and happiness. We have so many opportunities to share and learn of Christ through the Christmas Season. Share, invite, give family, neighbors, co-workers, and those not of our faith to come unto Jesus Christ.
Share a Christmas Mormon Message, video or Mormon Tabernacle Choir (lds.org. music.lds.org).
Invite others to participate in an activity that is centered on Christ. Family Home Evening, or watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional together.
Give a gift centered on Christ, or a Book of Mormon with your testimony written in it (Living Christ, Testimony of the Apostles, Picture of Jesus Christ for their home).
