Nov/Dec Goal: JESUS CHRIST

Nov & Dec Goal:

Share/Invite/Give - "Jesus Christ"

Jesus Christ gives us hope, peace, joy and happiness. We have so many opportunities to share and learn of Christ through the Christmas Season. Share, invite, give family, neighbors, co-workers, and those not of our faith to come unto Jesus Christ.
Share a Christmas Mormon Message, video or Mormon Tabernacle Choir (lds.org. music.lds.org).
Invite others to participate in an activity that is centered on Christ. Family Home Evening, or watch the First Presidency Christmas Devotional together.
Give a gift centered on Christ, or a Book of Mormon with your testimony written in it (Living Christ, Testimony of the Apostles, Picture of Jesus Christ for their home).

September and October Goal: Serve with the Sister Missionaries

September and October: Our goal is to “Serve with the Sister Missionaries”.

We invite each sister in our ward to serve with our sister missionaries. Over the next two months, if you haven't already, sign up to go with the missionaries as they serve on appointments and meeting people in our community. It will bring inner joy and build up your own testimony by sharing the message of Christ's love and being with our Sister Missionaries.

"The Lord made it very clear at the start of this last dispensation that we were to take the gospel to all the world. ... Whatever our age, capacity, Church calling, or location, we are as one called to the work to help Him in His harvest of souls."
—Henry B. Eyring, "We Are One"

"Let us be awake and not be weary of well-doing, for we “are laying the foundation of a great work,” even preparing for the return of the Savior. Brethren, when we add the light of our example as a witness to the beauty and power of restored truth, we will not sleep through the Restoration."
—Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Are You Sleeping through the Restoration?

Missionary Goal for July & August "Be An Example"

July & August, our GOAL Is to “Be an Example”:
1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise they youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

Determine to align ourselves with the Guild lines found there.  Make changes if needed and strive every day to emulate our Savior.

We might not always see the immediate results of our efforts but we can lay the ground work for our friends and neighbors every day by our example.  How we choose to live does matter.

Missionary Goal is to "Share"

May & June, our GOAL is to “Share”:

“We do not live alone—in our city, our nation, or our world.”  President Thomas S. Monson
“There are new ways to invite others to ‘come and see’.  Let’s make sharing our faith online more a part of our daily life.  LDS.org, Mormon.org, Facebook, Twitter – all provide opportunities.”  Elder Neil L. Andersen
Use Social Media to share an aspect of the Church.  If you don’t use Social Media share in person or in a letter with others.

Share by making a Profile on Mormon.org.  Share by Inviting individuals investigating the Church to view videos featuring testimonies shared by members.  “Like” or share gospel messages, videos, and images on Facebook.  E-mail an audio talk to someone who is having a hard time.  Post images to illustrate your testimony on your blog or Facebook page.  Create a family testimony blog where members of your family can share their testimonies as well as faith-building experiences.  Create a “My Beliefs” category on a social bookmarking site, and add your favorite images, videos, and music from the LDS Media Library.

RS Goal: Networking - Meet Someone New

January & February, our GOAL is to “Networking - Meet Someone New":

It is important for us to fully participate and get involved in our communities and our neighborhoods.  Meet new people in your neighborhood and community.  Elder Oaks taught us, “Remember, brothers and sisters, this is the Lord’s Church. Let Him guide you through constant prayer. With a prayer in your heart, talk to everyone you can. Don’t prejudge. Don’t withhold the good news from anyone. Talk to everyone, and trust in the promised power of the Spirit to give you the words you should say. Let them make the decision to accept or reject your invitation. Over time, the Lord will put into your path those who are seeking the truth. He is the Good Shepherd. He knows His sheep, and they will know His voice, spoken through you, and they will follow Him.”

"Nothing happens in missionary work until (we) find someone to teach.  Talk with as many people as you can each day.  It is natural to be somewhat apprehensive about talking to people, but you can pray for the faith and strength to be more bold in opening your mouth to proclaim the gospel." Preach my Gospel (2004, 156-157)

Use the Pass-along cards.  “We can carry a packet of these attractive pass-along cards and give them to persons—even casual acquaintances—with whom we come in contact in the daily activities of our lives. These cards are an ideal way to invite people to investigate the additional truths we have to share. In a nonintrusive way, they offer something precious, but the gift depends upon the choice and initiative of the potential recipient. In our experience, a significant fraction of those who telephone for the offered gift choose to have it delivered by those who can tell them more.” Elder Dallin H. Oaks
