Save the Date!
Ward Activity
“Taste of the World”
March 14th 6:30-8:00pm
Come join us for a cultural experience!
Displays will be set out with food from around the world! There will also be coloring and games for the children so bring the whole family!
We would like as many people to participate as possible so any ward members, friends, family or neighbors who have lived in, served a mission in or experience with other cultures are invited to share their experience. Participants will be asked to set up a small display table with different items (flag, music, craft, pictures, etc.) and share a dish from the country in small, sample form. Sign-ups will be passed around during Sunday meetings.
Sign up and make this a great ward activity!

RS Goal: Networking - Meet Someone New

January & February, our GOAL is to “Networking - Meet Someone New":

It is important for us to fully participate and get involved in our communities and our neighborhoods.  Meet new people in your neighborhood and community.  Elder Oaks taught us, “Remember, brothers and sisters, this is the Lord’s Church. Let Him guide you through constant prayer. With a prayer in your heart, talk to everyone you can. Don’t prejudge. Don’t withhold the good news from anyone. Talk to everyone, and trust in the promised power of the Spirit to give you the words you should say. Let them make the decision to accept or reject your invitation. Over time, the Lord will put into your path those who are seeking the truth. He is the Good Shepherd. He knows His sheep, and they will know His voice, spoken through you, and they will follow Him.”

"Nothing happens in missionary work until (we) find someone to teach.  Talk with as many people as you can each day.  It is natural to be somewhat apprehensive about talking to people, but you can pray for the faith and strength to be more bold in opening your mouth to proclaim the gospel." Preach my Gospel (2004, 156-157)

Use the Pass-along cards.  “We can carry a packet of these attractive pass-along cards and give them to persons—even casual acquaintances—with whom we come in contact in the daily activities of our lives. These cards are an ideal way to invite people to investigate the additional truths we have to share. In a nonintrusive way, they offer something precious, but the gift depends upon the choice and initiative of the potential recipient. In our experience, a significant fraction of those who telephone for the offered gift choose to have it delivered by those who can tell them more.” Elder Dallin H. Oaks
